Hi! I'm Betty Turner - owner/president of The Betty Turner Real Estate Company.
I'm a Realtor ®; a real estate broker who belongs to the National Association of Realtors whose members agree to a code of ethics and a way of doing business.
Selecting someone to assist you in the sale or purchase of property is of extreme importance, and one that should be undertaken only after careful consideration, so I thought I should take this opportunity to briefly introduce myself.
A native New Yorker, but 40 year resident of South Texas, I have long been very actively involved in the Port Aransas and Corpus Christi communities. I served as a member of the Corpus Christi City Council for five terms, including four years, from 1987 until 1991 as that city's first female mayor. Since then, I have been employed as CEO/president of the Greater Corpus Christi Chamber of Commerce and as Vice-President of HCA in South Texas.
During most of those years I also was actively involved in real estate field, first as an agent and then a broker, and was principal of the Turner, Whittle,Tate Real Estate Company in Corpus Christi in the early 1980's. But finding politics very demanding, I eventually closed that firm and opened my own smaller company, Betty Turner Real Estate ®. I have been principal of that firm ever since. Currently, I am a member of the Corpus Christi Association of Realtors and their Multiple Listing Service and I am a member of the Port Aransas Listing Service. I also serve on two bank boards and the National AARP Board. I am currently the fundraising chairman for the community's new performing arts theater, the president of the 21 county Corpus Christi Food Bank and Elder in the Community Presbyterian Church.
I now live in the canal-front community of Island Moorings in Port Aransas with my architect husband, Jack Rice Turner and deal with all kinds of real estate, both residential and commercial and investment properties, throughout the Coastal Bend. But I tend to specialize in investment properties in Port Aransas.
My long time successful experience in the real estate business in the Port Aransas and Corpus Christi communities has taught me well - and provided me with ideas and strategies about buying and selling that have earned me the reputation as being one of the best realtors in the area.
